Question About Restarting RoDi System after Replacing Resin

I have a closed system that is attached thru the wall to the bathroom sink & then is collected in the 65 gal container you can see to the right of the rodi setup. I am new to this setup - it used to be in the laundry room & waste water went down the drain & I would run it until the tds registered 0. How do I do that with this new system? Or does it not matter?

I don't worry about it myself, but when I used to care i would disconnect the output hose from the collection and run it into a bucket until it hit zero and then I would shut it down and reconnect, and restart.

And to start it back up, do I turn both levers down?

Flow valves, the lever indicates the flow situation; open when the lever is pointing down the flow line and closed when it is perpendicular to the valve body.
They generally should be open when water purification is in operation? I presume that you close them for maintenance and when you are not making rodi

Not quite..... That flow valve should be in the closed position when making RO, and in the OPEN position when flushing the membrane.

When the lever is open (in-line) its flushing.
When the lever is closed (perpendicular to the line) its forcing water through the RO. (as in the picture)

Your second lever, just appears to be a ball valve on the output line. that should be open when making water obviously, otherwise nothing will come out.

Thanks guys. This new set-up has me in a steep learning curve. I have been trying to get someone to come and walk me thru some of this stuff but that too is turning out to be a challenge.
