I have used RO/DI setups for years. Last one got broken and am getting ready to setup the new one.

Where I live, the sewer bill is twice what you use in water. So, even if you fill a pond up, you pay for sewer at double the rate. So you can imagine what my bill was when I filled by 1000+ gallon pond. :(

So, my question is: Would a booster pump lower the rejection rate through my RO buddy, enough to make it worth while?

Has anyone used this particular unit with a booster pump? What was the result?

Thanks!

I’m not sure about the RO buddy but a booster pump can absolutely decrease rejection rates on most RO systems.

Increase inlet temp is best followed by pressure, also make sure to purge the membrane before each use.

You can increase the temp by coiling a long inlet tube in a tub of heaterd water.

Here’s DOW’s paper on the topic and a snapshot of the pressure and temp effect plots
