Do I need to flush a new RO membrane to get rid of any impurities from the new membrane? Just put a unit in it shows 90 TDS going in and 0 coming out. Any thoughts. This is all new to me

always best to flush before initial use for about 1-2 hrs. then flush before every use.
I have auto flush on my system which flushes every time rodi comes on and on hourly basis while its running.

Sorry for the double post also dumb question when I flush it the water that’s being flushed out of the RO membrane is that coming from the waste line or am I taking the flushed water from the Line coming out of the DI filter?

on initial install about 1-2 hrs,
after that i would just run a gallon or 2 flush before using the system. If you notice when you first turn the unit on TDS are very high, calculate how long it takes for it to settle down. that would be your time to flush every time before using.

I flush the membrane unti the tds coming out is about 6. The start is about 120. When I run after the flush, I let the number go from 6 to 2 which is my minimum level. When it hits 2, I hook it up to the DI. It takes about 5 minutes for each.
