Hey @Humblefish, i read your article about setting up a QT where you warn against using live rock because it can absorb medications. I wondered though, would a product like marinepure ceramic media be ok instead? Or would it have the same problems live rock does? Thanks a ton!

Same problem. Any QT is best setup with the bare minimal. You don't need media to keep a stable QT. You achieve the same result with water changes, good circulation, surface agitation, air stone, etc.

Tank, air stone, powerhead, heater, PVC fittings. Done. Don't complicate it.

^^ Agree; while you technically can use rock/ceramic media in QT you'll have to be vigilant with testing for copper.
