So before I did my research I bought a seaclone 100 skimmer by io. After I had researched found out they didn't seem to work well. Long story short mine worked ok for my 29 but then for some reason it stopped collecting. Tried fiddling could figure it out. Went to clean it the other day and saw a couple purple plastic "tabs" in skimmer body. Took pump apart and 6 of 8 find on impeller were broke off. I noticed it was a maxi jet 1200. I had one for another purpose so replaced it. The impellers are different though. Do you think this will make it not work right? Does flow need to be dialed in THAT specific?

As far as I know the tabs help break the bubbles into smaller ones just to help grab the nasties. It would work temporarily but a replacement impeller would probably be in order.
