Question about storing water

Hi,

I bought a RO/DI system from BRS. It is preferred to store the water as RODI or can I make up batches of tanks water and store it this way?

I used to make up the salt water and leave for up to 4 weeks at a time. I would not leave flow or heat in there until about 24 hours before I was going to use it. Never had a problem. It was in a dark sealed container.
