Question about tank upgrade and live rock?

I currently have an IM 15 aio that's doing really well. I've been given the green light to upgrade from my wife, so I plan on getting the IM int 170. I plan on transferring everything from the 15 to the 170. My question is this, would the 12 lbs of rock in the 15 be enough to seed the 170? I will be getting more actual live rock to add but wasn't sure if what I currently have will skip cycle a tank so much bigger. Thanks for any help!

Simple answer is yes, that’s a good seed.
I’ve done that dozens of times.
I personally don’t use live rock that didn’t evolve in my system.

The live rock you carry over will sustain at least the current amount of fish. The new rock being added will go through the same as the previous did.
