Question about TDS and a Brute can

So I’m setting up my new AIO 40 gallon tank, I replaced all of my RODI filters, and made a bunch of water in a 20 gallon brute can and the TDS is 0. I also have a 44 gallon tank that I am making the salt water in to add to the tank when I’m ready to fill it. I’ve been taking the fresh 0 TDS water from the 20 and adding it to the 44 gallon can, when I read it there it reads 002 TDS. Not really sure why I cleaned the can before use, I did add some old power heads to mix the water when I add the salt, and a heater, and another pump. Could the pumps be giving me the 002 reading? Question is its a lot of water do I need to start all over, will the 002 reading be enough to effect anything. I’m going to add the salt this week so I can get the tank cycling. It’s been quite a few years since I had a tank, thanks for your help

Even in a covered brute, fresh 0 TDS, will be 7ppm by weeks end.

Really doesn't take much to move off of 0. I'd suspect the mixing gear, or missed a spot cleaning and a speck of salt got it. No biggie I'd use it. Especially if you know exactly what has been in each.

Yea the last time the 44 gallon brute can was used, it was just to fill some fresh water. It’s been sitting in my garage with the lid on, so I just wiped it down good. Moved it beside my tank and have been filling it with fresh 0 TDS water from my other Brute can. That’s why I was confused, but like I said the power heads and heater are older so they may have had a little salt creep deep in them or something.
