Question about upgrading tanks

As soon as my 90 gallon is ready I’m planning to clean out the 28 gallon cube and transfer my maroon clownfish and all the water,rock and coral from my 20 gallon tank into the 28 gallon cube.
My question is if all I’m doing is adding a new sand bed and the additional saltwater needed to fill the cube back up is any cycle needed ?
Should I dose with microbacter 7 as if it is a new tank being seeded ?

you might get a variety of answers here …
But without sensitive corals to worry over, I probably wouldn’t worry ….
Also don’t see any need for MB7 …again opinions may vary…

Corals that are moving are extremely hardy and easily replaced, my maroon clown also seems pretty hardy. Except for a new sand bed it’s going to be similar to a water change, but still I needed to ask to be sure

I just moved everything from a smaller tank to a larger tank, rocks corals and fish. The biolaod is the same and assuming you arent taking ages and the rock doesnt dry out the bacterial load is effectively the same, the only change is water volume so if everything was good in the old there should be no issues, im having a tiny amount of cyano but leaving be
