Hello I have a 40 Breeder with Hob skimmer roughly 45 Gal total My Nitrate has been testing 0 for a bit so I purchased some Stump Remover to raise up to the 5-10 level I mixed 2 tbsp to 2 cups of water mixed and dosed 10 ml then tested 15 mins up to a hour later Still Showing 0 Should I keep dosing until I get a reading or continue with 10 ml daily till it builds up on its on?

Would you recommend dosing more per day or or dose the 10 ml everyday till I start reading?

More per day. You are dosing a bit over 2 ppm. More is OK.

Ok the first night I added 25 ml it went to 10 and within 2 hours it was back to 0 just wasn't sure if was getting zapped out or what

Yes it will take some time for everything to balance out. When I started dosing KNO3 (stump remover) I dosed extra the first few days until I started getting readings. Then I dosed ~1-2ppm per gallon of system water daily until I was able to stop dosing to maintain the numbers. Now I only dose when I do water changes as that removes the little nitrate I need in my system to maintain my parameters.

Consumption in some way is the only way it declines

Ok this makes sense so I probably need to dose higher until it levels out then dose to maintain that I just felt like I was going to over do it adding so much lol
