Over the weekend I grabbed a single polyp of Utter Chaos from Top Shelf Aquatics in Orlando(amazing store!).
In-store, this guy was dime size and wide open but not so much now...Do these thing like high light or low light?

My other stuff is doin as well as it should...it's us this one that's throwing me for a loop.

Try lower light, they can shrink if they aren't used to the light levels. Good luck and post back!

I lowered the frag rack that it's on(magnetic corner rack from eshopps). Hopefully in the next couple of days it'll open wide up-keep ya posted. Do people find that spot-feeding is a good practice with these guys?

Give it time to get used to your system. I've been at that store a bunch of times and their zoas get huge.

In my tank the lower the light the bigger they get

Some zoas and especially palys eat,but I have never noticed the Utters chowing down. If they continue to shrink then the generic dip advice is in order, but like JPS said, give em a little time too before getting too extreme.

Good luck and let us know how it worked out!

This is not entirely relevant to this post, but I once saw one of my Palys with half a mysis shrimp sticking out of it's mouth. Took it hours to get that thing down.

when I feed everythign else, I see a bunch of zs/ps grabbing bits of food so it is my opinion that it can't hurt to feed them.
