Hello
does anybody have experience with bubble anemones living alongside zoanthids?
I've got a large black widow nem in my reef tank that has a colony of zoanthids that has grown right up to the sides all around the nem and the nem does not sting the zoanthids at all... its weird because I've read a lot about how nems sting everything, does anyone else have this going on? should I be worried about chemical warfare due to this co habitation and should I change carbon more frequently as a result?

Nothing to worry about. Sometimes nems won’t sting the things around it

I have zoas living next to haddonis, bubbles, LTAs, magnificas, and tube anemones. They grew out that way. Most of them are open, and I even have some that lay their underside on the nems.

That is so weird, so do anemones just choose to attack if they feel like it ? because I've got blue tubs zoanthids, some orange type from vietnam, some yellow ones, and a variety of eagle eye that all have grown right up to my black widow nem, and my rainbow nem and they don't get hurt at all, I have a few utter chaos that close until the nem shrinks before the lights go off but they just open when that happens I just always thought the nem would atleast kill a perimeter around it but i guess not lol
