getting ready to use copper power on my DT (second time last in July this year-Dt is 600 gallons plus including sump) to my large fish to QT, took shark out have now corals or inverts in tank. My question is should I raise the temp to 81 -82 was told from experience person in this hobby that only works in fresh water raising temp. Any advice would be greatly appreciated !

Saw your tank in your other post— very beautiful. Are you going to run the copper at a therapeutic level for 30 days (32-35?) and you’re finished?

ran copper power for about 32 days at 2.0, hopefully I won't have no more problems with Ick bought the Fritz copper safe that just started production again in case I have to re-dose. Any suggestion I appreciate any advice. Thanks Carl

I’m running CopperSafe in my DT right now with sand and rocks— using a Hanna Checker to not drop below 1.5. I’ve gone ‘nuclear’ before with CopperSafe and never lost a fish, even at 2.0. Valentini puffer, Wrasses, they all came through it. Let’s hope 30-35 days here battles the Ich this time around without casualties.

I heard copper safe was suppose to be # 1 with copper power, what I like about copper power it retains it level even with coral and sand (used in DT), only difference I use API copper test kit not crazy about the hanna checker I get different reading if you do test back to back. I even called Hanna and spoke to support which they told me it not really that accurate for marine water. I know some will tell you Im full of it be that's what I was told by their company. I have all their tester and stop using copper one because of the different readings never got same reading back to back.
Also if you don't succeed with copper in your tank and decide you want to try CP let me know Ill send you the meds for nothing bought 2 lbs of it, which will last me a life time. Good Luck
