I'm having a terrible time getting this thing set! How deep is your water in the skimmer chamber? I'm either getting bubbles so fine they don't seem to do anything or so big I can't get the water level out of the main body or it overflows the cup? Right now I'm about 10" deep.

When I was running this skimmer I did so at 8.5" and it was a beast. That said, one of the biggest downfalls I've seen with the SWC venture is that it tends to get calcified buildup that greatly affects the performance, causing issues exactly as you state. I have owned 3 different skimmers and all have the same issue. Just need to be checked often is all.

My opinion, raise the skimmer level and check the venture.

Thanks for the numbers! The venturi is coming off today!

8 1/2 for me.....I actually measured and marked the side of the skimmer.

Mine is 8",>>> not to hijack your post but does anyone know where to get parts for SWC skimmers?

What part? To be honest I'm not even sure the good lord above to get parts for them anymore. They are more or less out of business now.
