I have a bubble tip anenome that was sick about three weeks ago. HOwever now it is much better. It eats when I feed it and reaches out and upward and its mouth is tight an closed. It lost a lot of its tentacles, changed to brown and badge in color and became smaller. The tentacles are also much smaller. Has anyone seen this happen to their anenome? I am posting progression pictures. Also I have stopped changing my water weekly and the parameters and everyone is fine. It is going on 2 1/2 weeks since the last water change. Do I need to change 15% weekly or biweekly if the water parameters are ok? Thanks in advance for your input.

So are the first two pictures what it looks like now and the last two are what it used to look like?

Yes the first pictures are what it looks like now. Posting a picture of the whole tank.

How often were you feeding it and what lighting do you have it under? Usually tentacles disappearing or dramatically shrinking is an indication that the anemone is starving and its consuming itself to stay alive.

So just that we are on the same page, it went from this:

Am I correct? If so it looks great! If it was backwards, then I agree with Zach (@crabs_mcjones) that it is starving. The Bio Cube Stock hood may night put off Enough par to sustain an Anemone. I have to brush up on my par numbers.

It went backwards. It was full and extended to smaller and deflated.
