Excited to finally get a pair of MP40s coming in tomorrow!

For all you MP40/MP60 owners, I'd like to know what schedule and modes you're all running and why?

I've heard some do lagoon to reef crest back to lagoon and ending the night with nutrient transpor

t.

I'd like to get some feedback on placement (I've heard opposite ends, but one higher than the other?) and recommendations would be great based on my tank.

Pic with recent PAR readings and tank dimensions attached.

I played around with the settings for 1 year before finding the best settings for my tank. I would say make sure they both are not facing each other and keep them in a way they have no rock path. If I had to choose one mode that would be Nutrient transport on anti sync mode. I reduce the flow at night and have them go from constant to reef crest for 2 hours and then switch. If your not sure just do reefcrest and mix it up. If you want to see my coral growth and settings let me know

Here is my program. My SPS seem to enjoy it.

I have 2x MP40s across from each other on a 5’ long tank. I also have 2x directional pumps on a random program as well with the pumps facing at an angle towards the opposite corner of the tank with much of the flow pointed at the surface. I get a lot of random turbulence and intensity.

5 set to reef-crest, 1 set to constant/normal. 20-75% depending on what one it is/where in the tank

I have 2 MP60s in a 300 gallon reef. They're set at front left side and rear right side the get a circular pattern going, because I have a peninsula setup. The one in front is higher, but that was the result of currents scouring sand out and piling it against the far side, regardless of how low I set the propeller speed. Daytime starts with reef crest for about 4 hours, Nutrient Transport for about 8 hours, Lagoon for 4 hours to start winding down, and then constant at about 40% overnight. That last bit was the result of multiple tangs getting pulled against the intakes during the overnight hours and being dead by morning.
