Question for Helio PTC Heater Owners

I have an 80G cube, 100G total volume, and I'm looking at getting the Helio PTC dual heater for the tank. Normally I would get the heater rated where the tank volume is at the top of the recommended size so the heater could never cook the tank. In this case the 2x200W is rated for 50-100G. However if I trust in the tech and the the ceramic chip limiter won't let it ever overheat, I'm wonder if going with the 2x350W rated for 100-170G would be more efficient. Thoughts?

Id say my system is 160-180g and i use 1 ehiem jaeger 300w with a finnex 800 dial controller. Keeps my display 77-78

I think I would call IM and talk to them. I went the dual heater route with 2x100 on a 43g.

Just an update on this... I went with the dual 350w trusting the temp limiter built into the ceramic chip. So far so good... Here's the day I graph from when I changed over from dual Eheim Jager to the Helio PTC... My temps have never been so stable.

I have 2x Eheim heaters now and was looking into these. You still liking them? Should I still plug it into something like an inkbird with the inkbird temp set to turn off at a higher temperature than the helio? In case helio doesn't shut off on it's own, then inkbird presumably will if it kept rising?

I still like them. They have their failsafes built in.

I love them and they've been doing great every since I put them in. I have the Helio controller set to 78 and that is plugged into my Apex with min/max on/off values set to 77.5 and 79.5. The tank never fluctuates that much so the Apex is more of a backup safety net just in case something goes wrong with the Helio controller or the built in throttles, which theoretically by design shouldn't fail.
