Question for those with Klir Filter

For those with Klir filter, does your blue controller beeps and stop after running for x minutes? I have the Klir 4" (original one when it comes out) and mine never beeps or stop, it rolled the entire roll if there is an issue. I want to make sure the beep function is in the blue controller. I may have to shell out $30 to get that.
