I'm switching salt, this is my second mixing of 35 gals of saltwater in my Brute trashcan (have been using this method for years). The directions on the IO box suggest 1.5lbs of salt will make 5 gals of water but at 1.022.

Anyone have a formula for mixing at 1.026?

Half a cup per gallon, maybe a hair more

I've not had any issues with IO but man, it seems like I always have to add more than I thought I would to get to preferred ppm. I calibrate my refractometer before each use....??

That salt I believe mixes at 1.023 sg so you will have to add a Lil extra. In a 5 gallon bucket I mixed 3 cups for 1.025sg
