If an 220 gallon aqueon tank has been sitting around for a few years empty in storage. Would the silicone be gone on it???

It’s likely fine. I would fill it up and do a leak check.

Not unless the silicone was already gone prior to going into storage or something was munching on it while in storage (mice ect...)

It should be okay but +1 on a leak test. In case it does leak or you're not comfortable, resealing a tank is not hard. Like most things in this hobby it just takes some time and patience.

Should be fine just to be more safe than sorry. Fill it up for a test run if it starts leaking pump the water out
