So I currently have a 20L, and I have been wanting to upgrade into a Biocube, I have been thinking about going the HQI route, but yesterday on a journey to an LFS after work I found a previously loved Biocube 29, I have yet to confirm wether it is oceanic or coralife though. I plan on gutting the hood, and turning it into an LED hood, but have no idea where to start. I am new to LEDS and dont even know where to begin. I am hoping someone has an answer for me, Do I go DIY? Is there a premade setup that I can get that will fit easily in the hood? or Maybe a kit I could use? I dont really even know where to begin, all I know is that reefled.com has a kit, but im not sure if it will work, and am hoping that someone on here could provide some insight!

Thank you in advance,
Tony

DIY is the way to go, you will likely end up needing to solder, however it is not difficult at all. I highly reccomend reefledlights kits, as they have the best LEDs available in diy kits. You will likely need a different heatsink than they sell, heatsinks usa has really good heat sinks.
