Question On Dosing Pumps

I was finally thinking about buying some dosing pumps for my reef tank. My main concern is a mounting location for the dosers . I have a 55 gallon tank with no sump below can I mount them half way up on my wall and run the feed lines directly to the top of the tank?? Only thing I’ll be dosing is alk & cal any ideas on mounting higher or middle of tank ?

I have mine mounted around 3ft below the top of the tank, no issues! I think as the tube is so thin, it doesnt take much head pressure!

Thanks for the info I was looking at the Kamoer X1 dosers. Not too expensive but should do the trick. Do you have your reservoirs (containers) on the ground ??

Im using the same pumps, they're quite nice! My all for reef solution sits on the base of cabinet around a further ft down from the pumps! They don't appear to struggle at all and seem like would quie easily lift as high as the supplied tubing is long!

That’s awesome thanks very much tried finding a you tube video on it forget it. How did you mount the dosers is there something on the back couldn’t find a picture of the whole thing..Are they pretty accurate?

Accurate if you keep up calibration most likely, manual recommends every six weeks iirc, I just do on dosing fluid change, which is probably a litte lax!

There's no mounting holes, i just made a small shelf for them!

So I ordered two x1 dosing pumps and a skimz triple holding tank for liquids. Is there a way to control how fast the designated fluid comes out I need 10ml daily of alk i just don’t want it to spew the full 10mls in at once should I dose 5ml at a set time then half hour later the other 5 ??
