So very unfortunate my diamond goby has committed suicide I was there when it happened kills me even more cause he was one of my favorites and I had him for so long
he jumped out of the tank now before everyone starts knocking me down I KNOW they are jumpers my midus blenny jumped out too earlier this summer and I quickly saved him and he is still doing good
After that happen I made sure and secured all sides of the lid really well to the point I couldn’t put my new Wavemaker cause I didn’t want to re do everything everything was covered and taped down very very good !!
he still flew out the Odd part is it’s the same spot where the blenny jumped odd
quickly grabbed him threw him back in the tank with dust and all I couldn’t waste time so I left him be..today he did Not come out his hole I know he is under that fake rock you see behind him
Yes I know the rock is stupid my husband put it in there in the very beginning didn’t know any better guys and when we got our diamond gobie he immediately made that his house I couldn’t move it after that
now since he is gone I’d like to take it out I know I have to move some rocks around how can I do this and not create a ammonia spike??? I can’t take it out tonight cause I don’t have enough prime or stability I’m very low..we was suppose to get more today cause today was WC day but we had to skip that cause also our husky decided to run away for 2 hours and everything closed
So I can dose a little bit for now to avoid any spike etc..I don’t feel right leaving the gobie underneath they rock but I don’t want to make things worst and I’m not prepared
So how can I do this and move the rocks and remove the fake rock without screwing up my water..long time ago I only added one rock and I did create a small spike I don’t want that again
He always liked opening his mouth wide for the cleaner shrimps to clean I don’t think I’ll find another gobie with full personality..he was never shy always upfront doing his thing
