So i bought a paly 2 days ago and hasn't opened up. They were open up initially. How do I know if they are still alive? Also how do i get them to open. I have moved them to high flow, and medium flow with no results. Now in lower flow and medium intensity in light.

Medium flow and light should be just fine! Some palys take longer to open than others I've had some open in hours and some open in a few days. Best to wait it out and not touch them at all. Let them do their thing

Yo thanks for the info, hopefully soon they'll open [emoji16]

Palys should always be acclimated under lower light and low flow. I always turn my pumps off for a bit when getting a new colony.

Personal experience, but every healthy colony of paly / zoa I've bought has opened within a few hours if it's healthy, my tank is healthy and the source tank is healthy. I would not be stocking up on palys if your tank is new.

Leave it alone and wait.
