i have a JBJ 45 gal AIO tank that I'm adding s sump to. The only overflow that will fit in the rear baskets (4in by 5in) is a Tunze overflow that will do 320 gal a hour or add another utube and it brings it up to 400 gph. I have a waveline 625 gph return pump ( I know I need to turn the pump down
I was planning on hard plumbing it with 3/4 in pipe is this good or should I go to 1 in. The outlet on the tunze is 40 mm ( about a in and a half little less)
Thanks

Tunze recommends using their corrugated tube , 1075/2 for the overflow. Its found on Amazon. I would not use a 3/4 inch overflow for your set up for fear that the flow would have to be turned down more then recommended flow rate causing possible bubble traps in the overflow breaking the siphon causing tank to overflow. Personally , use what manufacture recommends.

Hi CJ
I would love to use Tunze's hose. But you know how wives can get sometimes. She insists I use PVC on it. I am starting to order 1 in from BRS now after reading a guys video and what he did but I agree with you and thanks

You should be good to go. 1.5 inch overflow reduced to 1 inch is the common standard anyway. Change mm to inches and you are in that size. will work just fine Im sure.
