Question on QT Medicate or Not

Just purchased a unicorn tang from local fish store which they have had for roughly 2-3 months, fish etc great no signs of parasites. Question would you medicate QT tank with copper for a few week before placing fish in DT or just observe without medication in QT.

I medicate all fish going into my system. I’ve read too many stories about failed observational QT periods where something makes it in. Just my two cents though.

I agree. I always start with FWD. Followed by 3 weeks copper treatment. Conduct large water change followed with 2 doses of praziquantel. I feed 2 weeks of kana + metro + focus.

That covers it!
