Question on randy magnesium dosing

Two i got magnesium chloride and magnesium sulphate lab grade

so i need 7¼ cups of magnesium chloride and 3/4 cup of magnesium sulphate to be dissolved in 1 gallon of water ?

And how much grams is 1 cup ?

Randy this the molar weight and here in India 1 cup equal to 240 grams.

Unfortunately, my DIY article only listed volume measurements: 7 1/4 cups to 0.75 cups

In my calculations, 1 cup has a volume of 236.6 mL, and the bulk densities I used are in the article.

So 7 1/4 cups of the chloride is about 1.45 kg and the 0.75 cups of the sulfate is about 190 grams

The exact ratio is not important.

Yes, and when mixed together, you may see some precipitate which would be calcium sulfate from impurity calcium in the magnesium chloride. It is no concern, dosed or not.
