Do yall order fish alot online, same with corals? Im a little hesitant on ordering anything for the simple fact of opening up a great purchase to see a dead purchase.:misdoubt:

Order from a reputable source, and the fish will likely be swimming happily in your tank within a few minutes. ;)

I have not but I'm gonna soon I'm just gonna order something inexpensive the first time . Id like to see what other people say as well. But I did just get a shipment of snails out of like 150 snails mabe 6 died they have been in the tank 24 hours so mabe the 6 are not dead I'm gonna give them 3 more days to move

I get most if not all of my better fish off line unless I can find a good deal locally, on line fish seem better for me anyways.

I ask because im in a place where we dont get a big selection and with class and work I dont want the fish sitting at the fedex or ups facility. I was looking at some clowns on one of the sites thats advertised here.

You can hold the fish at the Fed Ex facility or UPS facility or have them delivered on Saturday for a extra $15 dollars generally.

Bad thing is I work at another hospital on saturdays lol, that leaves me very limited times. Im sure I can think of something, maybe my local fish store, they might let me

You can have it shipped to a bussiness Im sure ,the LFS shouldnt mind at all, just tell them its something that they dont have and if they get mad, oh well.

I wouldn't have the fish shipped to the LFS, to acclimate and hold in a tank for me. Most LFS are swarming with parasites, and it just doesn't seem smart.

Is there any way you could set up something with your employer for like an extended lunch break? Just have it held at the nearest FedEx location, then run home, do a 20 min acclimation and run back to work.

Yeah im pretty sure my work would let me, they are semi bendable when it comes to that, plus they know how crazy i am when it comes to my aquarium... They get tired of linstening about it lol.

I wasnt saying to let them hold and acclimate them, I was just saying let the store recive the package and hold it in the box till he gets off work.

Online is the way to go if you can get better selection and prices. I would suggest having the fish shipped to your local fedex/ups facility. Not sure about where you are but here these facilities are cooled in summer and heated in winter. Compared to a truck that sits in the extreme weather with doors always open. Its all about the temp of your livestock package. I would choose to have it held for pickup at the facility. Whenever you get a chance pick it up and bring it to your house and acclimate. Plan for a day you know you will have a lil free time before the facility closes. I believe that the fish will be fine if you get them in a tank by nighttime. We ship our fish out at 6pm here so if you get them in your tank by 8pm thats only 26hours not a crazy amount of time. I ship with breathable bags and use bag buddies water conditioning tablets which remove ammonia and release oxygen.
