I do not mean to stir the kettle here. I am new to this so I want to learn. So replacing old sand removes calcium carbonate which has bound to phosphate this remove a phosphate sink. However sand is not 100% calcium carbonate. It is a mixture of various substrates. Is not live rock 100% calcium carbonate? So would not the live rock be an even larger sink for phosphate?
