Hi All,

I am slowly setting up my brand new first marine tank and just wanted to get some opinions / thoughts / confirmation on my rock layout.

The tank is a 100 gallon / 375l. Unfortunately the rocks that you see is all of the rocks that I have as I have already maxed out my budget for everything needed to get the tank going. I am planning on eventually down the line adding some corrals. I have 20kg of crushed coral for the bottom. The overflow is on the right-hand side. The highest point on the rock is 340mm and the tank height is 480mm.

I have included a picture of where the tank stands in the room as it will be between a filing cabinet and one of my freshwater tanks.

Any thoughts / warnings / opinions would be welcomed. Both aesthetically and from a maintenance point of view.

Thank you very much in advance

Looks like you will have plenty of room between rock and glass with a lot of open areas for flow so that is good. I think it looks good.......I personally would want to vary the height across the length of the structure (especially if you go with a mixed reef where you need different light levels) but if you went with an all SPS tank, that would look really good all filled in.

I like it :) and that’s coming from a person who jam packs rocks in their system lol

I moved the rocks to the tank and moved some things around a bit. Found an extra piece to use.

Not 100% sure about it yet, just wanted to have it in place with lighting so that I can look at it for a few days until my sump arrives. Still have to take it out again and rinse them off.

The rocks look much bigger now that I actually see them in the tank. I think it looks great!

Looks good, but just make sure you can get cleaning tools down the right hand side. Especially when things grow in.
I like it it looks good
