Ok Randy I've been dosing your two part recipie 2 since about November with a dosing pump I was away for about 13 days an I don't know what happened but i think my doser stuck or malfunctioned an my Calcium went off the charts (670 salifert) it used probably 2× the calcium to alk. This was just about a month ago in a 40 gallon tank. My Ph dropped to about 7.6. Maybe closer to 7.4 about 2 hours before the actinics shut off, crushed coral and sand was turning to stone, the Saturday before last about 10 days now I went bare bottom and swapped out tanks to a 55g (50 gallon in system) 30 gallons of fresh ro/di with reef crystals 20 gallons from the old tank an I did a 10 gallon water change two days ago .025 with a refratomater, a week ago Ph was 8.6, tonight about 8.3-8.4 (api) a week ago alk was 11 three days ago 9 tonight 7 (api) I dose 40ml each nightly but rolled it back to once a week when I swapped tanks calcium is 550 (salifert) tonight. I dose a kalkwasser to top off half a gallon nightly that is mixed 1 heaping tsp per gallon 3 gallons mixed at a time. I'm shooting for 450ppm calium and 9.5-10 kh. I haven't tested magnesium but I dose per your recomendations

I used the reef calculator it said 6oz of alk part 2 somewhat lower Ph (screen shots attached)

What is your advice on dosing to finish corecting my parameters?

I would maintain 7-7.5 dKH for a while(not 9 dKH) to allow the precipitation event to cool off (meaning the fresh calcium carbonate surfaces to get clogged with magnesium, phosphate, organics, etc.). let the calcium declien on its own.

Then, in a couple of weeks, if you want the alk higher again, begin to dose more. :)

Thanls Randy, that's why I asked the Doctor knows best.

Should I set my dosing pump back to daily again? It has only been dosing once a week for a week or so now.
