This might be a really dumb question...

If I treat my fish with copper & then they are in my DT afterwards, can they bring copper into the DT & potentially hurt coral?

As long as you don't add water from the quarantine you'll be fine. Whatever tiny amount is on the damp fish when you move them won't be an issue.
