Question regarding Cupramine

I have never used copper for treatment. Recently I tried cupramine in a QT for help with flukes. And Prazi. I had two live rocks in there for cover. Can I use those live rocks now in a DT? What about the air stones? Can I use them again in a tank with inverts?

If you want to have inverts in the DT, I'd say no. That rock has absorbed the copper and will release it into your DT over time.

I don't ever cross contaminate equipment from my QT to DT.

I would not use the live rock in your DT. you can probably clean the airstone good enough, but with how cheap they are, why bother?

I use cheap throw-away airstones for use in my QT tanks. I never use any live rock, sometimes I will use a bit of matrix in a bag in a HOB in the QT. I don't reuse that either, which is why I only use a little bit for my QT tank and then toss when needed.

PVC and sponge filters are ideal for QT use. quick and easy to clean and reuse. Keep the live rock in your DT, its too expensive to waste via using in QT.

Anything exposed to copper should NOT be placed in presence of inverts
For flukes if confirmed- prazi for 8 days, water change day 9 then treat 8 more days
If ich - coppersafe for 30 FULL days at therapeutic level 2.25-2.5 at 80 degrees measure by a reliable copper test kit- no api brand. Hanna is hood
Verify what issue you’re dealing with before treatment and increase aeration in the tank

It sounds like he's done with the QT process, just wants to know if he can re-use the live rock in his DT now.

short answer is NO. unless you don't plan to have any corals or inverts in that tank.

no. If it was in copper, it cannot go with inverts
