Hello fellow reefers,

Had my tank running for just over 4 months, had a problem with phosphates and gha which are now sorted. Phosphates are at 0.03 (hanna) and haven’t had any gha for over 2 weeks.
My question is do I continue to run gfo, or do I now remove it and replace if I have a problem with phosphates again?

Thanks in advance

Dom

I only run GFO when I need to reduce my Phosphate or I am having undesirable algae growth.

I would take the GFO offline and monitor. If levels rise again you can keep running GFO.

Yeah, i would stop and watch. I ran a little my first 6 months while my tank was maturing but have stopped for the last year and my phosphate has been around 0.1.

Thank you, will remove it and monitor
