This ^^^^Return pumps have nothing at all to do with a tanks cycle. So yes you can start now and swap the pumps when you get the new one.
Thanks I am using algea barn cycle kit is it OK to run socks?? It dose not say to remove socksReturn pumps have nothing at all to do with a tanks cycle. So yes you can start now and swap the pumps when you get the new one.
If filter socks are going to be part of your system, I would be tempted to use them. Thanks I am using algea barn cycle kit is it OK to run socks?? It dose not say to remove socks
There definitely picking up stuff tank has been up for a Day and there brown all ready... Tank is a waterbox reef 130.4... Still debating on using socks or filter floss with filter cupsIf filter socks are going to be part of your system, I would be tempted to use them.
If there is any detritus in the new rock the filter socks should pickup some of it.
Plus you can get an idea on how the water flows once the pumps are turned on. ( if the socks can handle the flow)
ThanksSicce 3 has good output and as long as there is movement to provide oxygen for denitrifying bacteria, dont be concerned about pump size and output which will be more significant once livestock is introduced.
