So I know most say skimmers aren't needed on a Nano but I enjoy the extra protection as I enjoy feeding my fish and don't want nitrates and phosphates getting too high.

My question goes to once the skimmer is installed threw the Evo where does everyone run their filter floss? With the slots in the wall between 1 and 2 it's hard to figure out a place that wouldn't be a complete waste. Any tips would be awesome.

Hey there, I agree that you don't need a skimmer -- I don't even run one in my bigger tanks. For the small amount of fish you can have in a nano, the skimmer won't do much but add noise. If you already have it though, I found a picture that might help:

We have one on our biocube 16 and as much as they "don't work" we dump our cup out daily and have to wash it twice a week as it comes out pretty dirty. It might not do much but does do something. The problem with that photo is I have a media basket for chamber 2 and not that foam sponge. With the way the slots are water just comes threw the side. I might have to make something myself to restrict the flow in the bottom slots so I can use some floss.in the top.
