Question Zoa Rock

I purchased a big zoa rock for my tank. The vender told me to use did it in coral one shot. I did and a few sringy long things came out. It is currently risning and I do not see anymore long strings. My question is since I used Coral one shot. HOw do I know if it safe to put in my tank ?

rinse it in RODI water or tank water from a water change. Once rinsed it can go in once acclimated.
