This may not be the right forum for this, if so I apologize in advance.

My question is, what is the machine I see in movies that vibrates/aggitates samples? You've all seen it, some blood sample/chemical is always being stirred or spun with this device.

Any help would be appreciated.

I can only guess a vortex mixed (mentioned above) or a centrifuge (spins to separate out "heavies" from "lights".)

They also make these Magnetic Mixing or Stirring devices they work with any glass container placed onto the plate and just drop in a plastic coated magnetic stirrer... the same concept as the ecotech pumps I am guessing.
