Question

Gobies can be particularly difficult to get out of a tank. A fish trap is probably the easiest solution.

I'm tuning in to this thread and wishing you luck ... I have a midas blenny who's been evading capture for over a month now. Tried bottle and "Kritter-keeper" box traps, tried #26 fishing hook tied on 2# line, tried taking the rock he hides in out of the tank for 36 hours . . .

I wanna find something that _works_!

I worked to get a Tribal Blenny that started eating coral for a few weeks. It was torture watching my huge chilli pepper monticap be eaten. Finally watched him go to bed in a hole in one of the only rocks in the tank that was easily removable. That was a very good night!

Trap is #1 but watch where he goes to bed at night. You might get lucky!

Bruce, for a blenny try a few "tube" like things. Cocoworm shells, barnacle clusters, 1/2" pvc pipe, etc. Blennies like to sit in hard burrows with their head sticking out. When it's in one of those burrows when perceived danger shows up, it hunkers down in the burrow. If it does that in a small removeable object it can be easy to remove.
