{Tooth brush attached to a siphon hose. The hard way.} { Algae eaters. The easy way.} Its going to keep growing until something else out competes it for food.
Could you suggest some good algae eaters for this please??

Astrea snails are good in my tank, as are any of the turbos. The spiny star one is good looking but I dont know if they eat as much as the others. Nassarius are good for keeping your sand clean. They come in small and large varieties. I have both sizes. I dont have much luck keeping cerths alive for some reason. I do like bumble bees and have 5 of them, but they will eat meat so if you have nothing for them to munch on, they will eat other snails and tube worms. I do have a large pencil urchin that cleans down to bare rock creating a wide path. My tank is quite large and it keeps about 1/2 of it clean.
We have seen pincushion urchins demolish hair algae and we have also seen trochus snails eat hair algae too. Nassarius won't really touch it. Cerith snails seem to like other algaes that grow on glass and crevices of rock more.
