Absolutely. As long as it's cleaned out, no reason you can't

My 150 gallon tank is nearly 20 years old.. it has been a lake Erie tank.. with fish from the lake only... it's been a lizard tank... it's been a terrarium with both fish.. lizards.. amphibians and a few trees... a turtle tank.. a puppy cage.. and a saltwater tank lol
