i have two questions i am currently cycling this tank but algae is growing on the rocks and sand should i add a clean up crew? and second what is the thing that the red arrow is pointing at?

ammonia is at .5 nitrate is at 0 and nitrite is at 10

The algae is natural to have while your tank is young and cycling, it will clear on its own.
Cannot quite make out what the thing is on your rock.
