My 180 has had water for a week. I added 20ish pounds of live rock from my LFS a couple of days later. The first night I noticed a few "ghost umbrellas" sprouting from the rock. These retract into tiny tubes when i shine a light on them, thinking feather dusters. Tonight I notaced a cenitpede like creature crawling into a rock, I only saw the last few inches of it, I didn't feel it was "bristly". I grabbed a bucket with RODI water and pulled the rock. Now. the real question. I continued searching my tank with my flashlight in the dark and notised a stick like protrusion from a rock. While I was tring to get a picture it slowly, withdrew into the rock. No legs, no segments, uniform thickness( 3-4mm ), brown with a blunt tip. Is this going to murder me in my sleep? what the heck might it be?

If you use a red light you'll have a better chance of not scaring the critters away (not sure how great that would be for pics though)

yep, chillin in a bucket of RODI, nothing has emerged. No QT facilities
then if you have just mix some salt water and put it in the bucket.
if there's been something it's dead probably from the RO/DI, can't survive if isn't shell
