Can a plate coral move around on it's own? My orange plate is 2 1/2 inches away from where it was yesterday.

Yes they sure can. They will expand during the day and go in a direction they like when they shrink for the night.

They move like a caterpillar just takes a day do move once in my experience.

Mine inflates during the night if it feels the need to move. Typically move when they are getting to much flow IMO.

Well that was the funny thing, he moved into more flow. Well atleast I'm not crazy, I was thinking the pistol shrimp was moving him around heh.
