Hi everyone! I have question about buying a used tank. It seems to be an older Aqueon 125 72.5" x 18.5" x 23.4" gallon reef ready with two overflows. It includes the stand (not furniture grade, but its nice slated aqueon stand), a homemade canopy, and a 40 gallon sump for $350. The glass has no scratches and as far as I could tell the tank had no leaks. Does that seem like a fair price? Is that a good size tank to clean, etc?

Thanks for your input in advance.

I have one and it's a great tank. That I feel is a good price as well. Does it have black or clear seals? That gives away the age. It's about 3 years old or newer if black.

Maybe buying used 120

If I do buy it, I may not be able to set it up for over a year, do you think the seals on it would be fine without it being in operation for a year?

It has the clear silicon, so it must be an older tank.

Older than about three years. But if it isn't yellowed or chewed up or you see no bubbles in it it should be fine. Make sure the tank has a brace across the top center also. If it's in good shape it's worth the money.

Bottom line, if it's in great shape and you like it, buy it! It's a nice size tank, not too deep to be able to reach the bottom. I do love mine :) I did some research, a new 125g glass tank with corner overflows is $537. Just for the tank.
