I'm in the process of moving and have a nice wall that is against the garage. I'm thinking of building an in wall system. Right now i have a 220 display with everything maintained under the tank. Having everything in a room that is easily accessible would be amazing.
I live in NY so i will have all 4 seasons.
I will build a wall splitting the garage in half and putting insulation everywhere so that I still have some garage access.
What other considerations do i need.
I will see if i can tap into the heating and cooling to help maintain temps.
Add plugs above and below where i plan to keep the tank and equipement
Bathroom right above the garage so will add water supply
Floor is concrete, so is there anything i should do?
I'm also considering upgrading to a 500g (10 foot) tank Was thinking of doing a peninsula style tank so that while doing maintenance i could enjoy the tank as well as enjoy it from the other side. Anyone every try this? Otherwise was just going to do a traditional tank with external overflows. I have a buddy who has an in wall tank and he spends more time behind the tank then in front of it and not too much going on in the back.
