I’m noticing that some of my corals are staying the same, growth wise. I’m hoping with additional information, I can find out if I can do something to boost my corals growth and health.

I have the Hydra lights, I don’t have a skimmer. I have a 2 part automatic dosing system by two little fishies C. I feed my fish pellets. As far as corals go, I dose the tank with phytoplankton and fuel. I don’t spot feed, because my tank is wayyyyyy too tall and big. It’s too much effort. I have moderate flow.

I do a water change about once a month with Ocean Reef Crystals, and I change filter socks once a week. I’m going to test my water and show you the parameters.

Parameters rule the game, stability in alkalinity being the most important, followed by N and then P. Food has made a big improvement, but I also started red sea colors at the same time. But none of that matters if my alkalinity drifts.

Well, I did run out of the alkalinity bottle (I actually ordered more before the post). I don’t test the water much. I’m assuming my parameters are all over the place, but I’m going to take charge now and test more frequently.

Great idea

Heavy feeding with frozen have always work for me. In return the fish poo will feed the corals. A lot of times the coral coloration in its current state will tell you.
