Questions about my tank.

I have a 55 gallon DT, its about 15 years old. I've noticed the seems are turning black and starting to peel. My question is, how long do aquariums last? And should i replace my tank.

Sorry, totally missed that in your post. If the silicone is starting to peel on the inside, it may be time to consider replacing it or at minimum, draining and re-siliconing. Can you tell if it's the silicone between the glass/acrylic panes (basically holding them together) or the silicone beading over that?

Seems like is just the beading, not inside the joints themself.

If it's not inside the joints, you should have some time left with the tank, but I'd make sure to check the seals daily. If you start to notice bubbles or cracks in the joints, time to get a new tank.
