I got a Jebao 20000 and and I'm trying to figure out the proper way to plumb it. (There will be about 2' in between the pump and the 1" PvC)

The pump only comes with one barb fitting (per size) and no hardware stores carry these fittings. So I'm curious, can I just glue this tubing into the PvC like this?:

Which brings up another questing. The main point of tubing was to help with vibration. But tubing this size is so thick/stiff I wonder if its even worth it? Thoughts?

Flex tubing not only helps with vibrations, but makes it easy to remove (or move) the pump if you need to.

To connect the flex tubing to PVC, you need a small piece of the pipe to go into the T, then a slip to threaded adaptor, then a threaded barb connection for the flex tubing (using PVC cement to glue the PVC together). You then use a pipe clamp to tighten the tubing to the barbed fitting. Sometimes, I use a zip tie under water instead (if you can get it on tight enough).

So are you saying I CAN glue it directly to PVC, but its better to use a slip-to-thread for easy removal?

No hardware stores sell barb fittings. That's why I'm trying to get it to work with tube+PVC. (I could use unions for removal purposes)

No, I didn't say that, lol... I mean, technically, you can glue whatever you want, but it might not work. (that said, you would likely have better results with caulking than PVC cement if you were to attempt thing - But I do not endorse it, lol)

If you can't find it in a hardware store, a 'professionals' store would have it. E.g a plumbing supply store.

Or, online:

You can do this however you like, but doing it 'properly' will give you the best results against leaks!

lol I just realized my "tubing" is actually flexible PVC. So its designed to work with typical fittings. Thankfully I should be good to go :)
