I'm still a little confused about quarantine protocol. I finally put my first fish into the display a few weeks ago. At that point my display had been running for 4 months. My protocol for the first batch was 2 rounds of prazi and 14 days at therapeutic cupramine. I felt pretty confident there was no ick because I have had these fish for at least 5 months, some of them for 9 months. Everything looks good on those.
my second batch is a Hoeven's Wrasse and 3 female lyretail. They have been in QT for about 3 weeks. Two rounds of prazi and 2 rounds of metro/kana (the wrasse had some growth on his fin that has now healed). So today i just reached therapeutic levels of coppersafe (1.75). I'm considering only 14 days and moving directly to the display. What are the risk of this vs. going 30 days?

Many potential infections and parasites have multiple stages of development, some of which are more or less susceptible to treatment than others. Prophylactic treatments in a quarantine tank are fine when you consider how much you will probably have invested in the fish, corals and inverts in the display tank, where it will be impossible to treat and medicate sick livestock. I would suggest that the quarantine period should be one month minimum to give you the time to see if your new pets are indeed healthy.
